Information about...Deakin Law Students SocietyThe Deakin Law School officially commenced in 1992 and, a year later, the Deakin Law Students’ Society (DLSS) was established at Geelong to represent the interests of the School’s students. A separate committee was established at Burwood in 1997 and in 1998 the two committees were united under a single Constitution. Since 1993 the DLSS has developed significantly from a small committee of 12 students at Geelong (led by the first DLSS Present, Shaun Patterson) representing approximately 150 students, to committees at both Burwood and Geelong representing over 2000 law students, including our now substantial off-campus contingent. The key roles of the DLSS since inception have been to represent the interests of Deakin’s law students to the School and within the Australasian Law Students’ Society (ALSA); to organise competitions for law students; to establish ties with the profession and inform students of vocational opportunities; and to organise social functions for law students.Company = Deakin Law Students Society Telephone = 00000000 Address: Pigdons Road, Waurn Ponds VIC 3217 Target Audience = Young Adults (age 19-25) Web URL : http://www.dlssgeelong.org Similar sites by category | Education Date listing added or last updated : Thu May 7 22:09:20 EST 2009 Report Dead Link
